A component of the bicycle that is often overlooked is the headset. It is the contact element between the fork steerer tube and the frame and allows the rotation of the fork, offering the cyclist precise and direct steering. The market offers different standards based on the use for which the frame is designed: 1" threaded headset for fixed and track bikes, integrated and semi-integrated of various sizes with regular or differentiated diameter for the majority of modern mountain bikes and road bikes and different types of internal bearings: from the classic steel ones to the top of the range ceramic ones.
